Truthfully, I'm not sure a more poignant songwriting duo exists on our shared timeline.
Tivel's quiet, heart-wrenching approach kept everyone on the edge of their seat waiting for the song's culmination so they can finally take a breath. Martin's eyes-wide-open song craft pulled no punches and knocked all those in attendance backwards with an intelligence and intensity equal only to the weight of the words ringing throughout the house.
It's the opinion of this music fan that very few venues can replicate the experience of what happens at that cozy house in Manchester, but if you have a chance to catch either or both of these artists anytime soon, you will most certainly not regret it.
